Done. It is done. [whispers] Done.
That's it. Last one. [whisp... gasps] Hhhh... oh.
Time, where did it go? [gasp... weeps; deep breath] Just one more week... try to cheer up.
I need more time... [breathe...] ...more time to make it all up to you.
Meet me half way, [whispers] okay?
I love you so much. [sighs] Don't lose your way.
... [softly] Sleep my youngest one,
For tomorrow brings a new day.

Until tomorrow ~ Lil
Oof. Hang in there! xo
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marinka. I'm doing my best The Talent doesn't start school until next week, but these "last time moments" school supply shopping, registering, etc. are a bit jarring. On top of that College Girl heads east for junior year early tomorrow morning, so of course, I'm super jealous.
DeleteAlways sending soothing thoughts your way. xo
Captured the emotions of many this time of year!
ReplyDeleteHits like a ton of bricks. [deep breaths] :)
DeleteLovely. (and just wait for the college registration).
ReplyDeleteThe Talents older sister managed to figure all that out mostly on her own which was of comfort as she received generous scholarships and grants and went away to start school just a few months shy of us becoming homeless. It was such a relief knowing she would be spared our hardship and would have housing and a meal plan. Hoping College Girl will convince her sister to follow in her footsteps;maybe apply at same school.
