Here's what I'm up to:
It’s National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo. People who are crazy ambitious enough to accept the challenge aim to write 50,000 words in November, which is about 1,667 words every day. This is what my effort is looking like... 200+ words my first day. Here's a sampling:

“Still dark out.” She thought to herself as she awoke to the sound of puppy whimpers. Not really “pup,” just puppy-like, was her - middle-age in dog years - tri-colored beagle. Hard to believe it’s been seven years since Shadow dog joined the family....
